Abstract
Endodontic infection is more prevalent in patients with diabetes. This has been reported in a number of histological and microbial studies. Nevertheless, clinical aspects of this relationship remain poorly documented. The present case report illustrates an acute endo-periodontal lesion with a purulent exudate in a 39-year-old female patient with type I diabetes and highlights successful management of endodontic and periodontal infection in a patient with uncontrolled diabetes.
